Holiday Party Looks

I'm sure we all have Holiday parties coming up this month. With these parties always comes the question what do I wear? I've searched my favorite place to shop,piperlime, and I have several looks to help inspire your look for your upcoming party!

These are four dresses that are sure to make you look and feel amazing at your holiday party. If you ever want to wear these looks again and change them up you easily could with a blazer or leather jacket. The black dress woul be great with bare leg, tights or leather leggings. The silver dress has 1920's written all over it. This would look great with a beaded head piece. The ruby lace dress is a classic. This could be dressed down with cowboy boots or dressed up with some stilettos. The gold dress just screams holiday. What a festive dress. Pair it with some big earrings and gol bangles and you will look like a million bucks!

If you aren't a fan of dresses or you are wanting to wear something different to this years party here are some great looks that are just as festive as a dress and they are sure to keep you right on trend. A jumpsuit is a classic option that you could even top with a metallic or sequin blazer. The cobalt blue is such a hot color and it looks good on all skin types. Leather pants are a must for everyone's wardrobe and you can put so many different tops with them to change up your look. For a holiday party I would consider pairing them with a silk or sequin blouse. The silver metallic jeans and high low top are spot on trend for 2013 and the top is flattering for all body types.

Pregnancy Style

For those who haven't heard I am preggers. I'm due mid May and we are overjoyed at this new blessing. With pregnancy comes many challenges. One of the biggest...what to wear? So over the next several months I will be sharing outfits I've put together while pregnant. I am not big on maternity clothes so I really try to make regular clothes work as much as possible. 

    My last pregnancy I didn't start showing until 21 weeks or so. I am a couple days shy of 15 weeks now and I'm still not showing so I am taking advantage of wearing some of my favorite items while they still fit. 

    Sunday night I went to Memphis to celebrate one of my best friends birthdays. 

I wore my sequin blazer (karlie)- this blazer will be a great piece throughout my entire pregnancy, my leather pants (Zara)- these will not fit in a month or so so I took advantage of wearing them while I still could, my studded stilettos (BCBG)- I am in love with these shoes. 

I love fashion and I am a firm believer that you don't have to sacrifice style or fashion because of pregnancy. 

50 Shades of Violet

What's Hot and all the rage and Royal all over? VIOLET. Remember when mint was the color for spring? Violet is the color for late summer and early fall. You can find multiple shades of violet and they are all royal and scream majestic! There's a shade of violet out there for everyone! 

Memorial Day Look

Here are some outfit ideas that are sure to leave you looking as smoking as the BBQ at your Memorial Day cookout. Both idea inspirations were found at Piperlime. Boho Chic

It's one piece of clothing. A floral overlay that could be worn over a white maxi, cut offs and a tee, or as seen here over a little black dress. When I saw this overlay I was head over heels and I had to own it. It's even prettier in person and I can't wait to wear it time and time again. This overlay screams boho chic. It's possibly one of the only items in my wardrobe that would be classified as boho chic but when I put it on I feel like I've been dressing boho forever. 

It's in the Details

Details really do make a statement. When I saw the scallop detail on this dress I instantly loved it! It made the dress go from what would be a simple, but boring, lavender dress to a dress that is very unique and eye catching. Maybe you have a dress or top with no details, no worries! Dress it up and set it apart with a funky necklace or a belt in an eye popping color! 

Head Over Heels

Zara- it's one of my favorite stores. They have finds for women, men and kids. Great European style at a friendly budget. I am loving all the spring shoes that Zara has right now. Maybe it's mean for me to post this tropical look with the frigid temps outside. But I think when you hear the price you would be more angry if I didn't share! Before I tell you the price and place it was purchased I first must tell you that this dress is completely see through. It is meant to wear as a cover up (that is why it's on a hanger and not on me in the pic). Imagine how cute this will look strolling down the beach with a fedora, beach bag and a fruity drink!

I bought this dress off of Zulily. It is a discount website that specializes in children's clothing, toys and accessories but they have a multitude of daily sales for mom and the home as well! You have to subscribe to the website (totally free and no catch) they have daily sales at 8am central. Each day they offer different items and it is first come first serve and most are non refundable. A fun tip is if you "share" the website on your Facebook page they will give you $15 off your purchase.

Now for the price of this fun cover up...$10! That's right $10 + shipping! I couldn't believe it! I was already excited for warm temps and when this came to my doorstep I could hardly contain my excitement for the sunshine and summertime!

Frugal Friday

It is no secret that I love a bargain! When I find a bargain I am not the type to keep mum about it. I am the type to tell everyone in sight...the cashier, the lady checking out behind me...you get the idea! Each Friday I am going to try and share with you at least one bargain that I've found, tell you the cost and where it was purchased.

Today my bargain was found at Target. It is the ever popular Prabal Gurung for Target. I purchased several regular price items when this brand was launched at Target but today I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon two clearance end caps of Prabal Gurung shoes. All were marked 30% off. I got these lime beauties for $27.98. They meet all of this spring trends head on...neon, ankle straps, metal buckle. I am ecstatic for the price and for the first time I get to wear these!! Happy Shopping and Happy Bargaining!!

    If you know me, you no doubt know my love for clothes! I have a very eclectic style! I love to try new trends and I always consider animal print a neutral. I've been thinking of doing this blog for a while but with a toddler and a part time job I haven't found the time until today. With the brutal cold temps, grey clouds and my baby fast asleep upstairs today just felt like the day to start this blog!
